Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For

|April 9th, 2015|

So many beers- So little time… Austin, Texas-based Independence Brewing is rolling out a Berliner Weisse this weekend and you need to know all about it.  Plus we’ve also new releases from Lompoc Brewing and Flying Dog that sound extremely awesome as well.

Breck IPAColorado Rocky Mountain Hi (Denver, CO) – Breckenridge Brewery is debuting a brand new year-round this week and we can’t wait to chase one down. Breck IPA is a 6.4% ABV “Colorado-style” India Pale Ale that they took their sweet time developing – but are confident that it was worth the wait.

Hop Warrior (Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog has a new Single Hop Imperial Series release that you should find time to chase down. Single Hop Imperial IPA With Warrior is a 10% ABV blast that just might be “all that.” I’s out there now – but this series sell out quickly – so you know what to do.

Saison de LEvolutionEvolution of the Season (Portland, OR) – Lompoc Brewing is celebrating the changing seasons with their new spring release. Saison de L’Evolution, (French for “Evolution of the Season), is a hazy Belgian-style Farmhouse Ale that is dry and crisp with plenty of fruitiness complemented by a spicy bitterness. It’s brewed with dried orange and lemon peel, coriander, candied ginger and a Belgian Farmhouse Ale yeast from Wyeast Lab’s private collection. As the first Saison ever bottled by Lompoc, it represents the brewery’s commitment to change and evolution in the brewing industry and beyond

One Pils Makes You Larger and One Pils Makes You Small (Atlanta. GA) – SweetWater Brewing has returned a popular spring seasonal with a super-clean finish and a Mad Hatter’s dose of hops! SweetWater Take Two Pils is a golden blond 5.5% ABV German-style Pilsner – and even though it’s brewed using a Czech yeast strain that’s centuries old – you still need to be 21.

Independence-Red-BudRed Bud / Red Bud / Red Bud (Austin, TX) – Independence Brewing has a brand new summer seasonal coming out on Saturday, April 11th – so you need to be ready. Independence RedBud is a 4.2% ABV Berliner Weisse with a classic sour-citrusy lemon flavor and a crisp acidity.

Ground Control to Major Tom (Ft Collins, CO) – Fort Collins Brewery has a new summer seasonal coming out tomorrow.  FCB Major Tom’s Pomegranate Wheat is a 5.1% ABV Wheat Ale that’s infused with pomegranate and pink peppercorn, resulting in a striking straw blonde color and sweet tart finish.
