Send Lawyers, Puns, & Money (Edwards, CO) – Crazy Mountain Brewing Company has announced the release of an enormous brew that probably should be illegal. Crazy Mountain Lawyers Guns and Money Barleywine is a 10% ABV monster brewed using an assortment of crystal malts with a little Belgian candi sugar thrown in for good measure. Look for this “lawyered-up” beauty to hit the national market in the next couple of weeks.

Bishop’s Barrel On A Roll (Houston, TX) – The seventh release from Saint Arnold Brewing’sBishop’s Barrel series became available yesterday and we’re pretty jazzed about it. Aged in bourbon barrels for more than 11 months, Saint Arnold Bishop’s Barrel 7 Bourbon Barrel Russian Imperial Stout is an 11.3% ABV sipper that’s a merger of spice, bourbon, and chocolate. As with previous Bishop’s Barrel releases, bottles are available only at bars and restaurants.

Kermit The Hop Returns (Berkeley, CA) – It might come as a surprise, but Bison Brewing’s brewmaster Daniel Del Grande didn’t intend to brew his popular Double IPA. But fans kept asking for it – so he changed up his plans. Bison Kermit the Hop Double Simcoe IPA is that fan-favorite and this batch is brewed with more than three pounds of Simcoe hops per barrel – so be ready.

Avery Releases Highest Gravity Beer in Their History (Boulder, CO) – The Avery Brewing Company just released the newest edition to their Barrel-Aged Seriesand although it was never their goal, it ended up being the highest gravity beer in their history. Avery 5 Monks Bourbon Barrel-Aged Belgian Quintupel clocks in at a massive 19.4% ABV!Adam Avery, the brewery’s founder, says the entire Barrel-Aged Series has been fun for the brewers to dream up, and naming 5 Monks a “quintupel” was done in jest.”What do you call a 19.4% Belgian Bourbon beer?” Avery jokingly asks. “You tell me!” 5 Monks is now available exclusively at the Avery Tap Room in Boulder.

Meat Whistle (Burlington, VT) – Magic Hat Brewing Company is finally releasing a coveted cache of a strangely named and extremely limited brew that’s spent two years aging in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels. Magic Hat’s 10.5% ABV Meatwhistle Imperial Stout is brewed with an exotic mix of malts (Pale, Caramel 80L, CaraMunich 120L) and roasted barley as well as a healthy dose of Columbus hops.
