So many beers- So little time… Winter is undeniably here, and with it the beers of the season. And we’ve a number of interesting new offerings that you’ll want to chase down…We’ve also some new things from Left Hand Brewing and Heavy Seas Beer that sounds pretty serious as well.

A Brewhouse Rarity (Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog has a new Brewhouse Rarities Series release that speaks to two different types of seasonality. Brewed with a rich blend of roasted malts juicy fruit hops, fresh coconut and pineapple, Flying Dog’s Brewhouse Rarities Tropical Stout is a 6% ABV exercise in seasonal polarities – it’s also available now.

(Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing is celebrating their many years in the biz, with their new 20th Anniversary Encore Series where they’ll be returning favorite recipes from “back in the day.” The first in the celebratory series for 2016 is the Stone 12th Anniversary Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout a massive 9.2% ABV creation brewed with copious amounts of roasted malts, oat flakes and bittersweet chocolate. Yes!

Blown Away (Baltimore, MD) – Heavy Seas Beer has just returned a popular seasonal that doubles down on the hops. Heavy Seas Double Cannon is a massively hopped 9.5% ABV Double IPA balanced upon a sturdy, almost European-style, malt backbone.

Milked To The Max (Longmont, CO) – When the weather gets colder and ruder we like our beers darker and bolder and Left Hand Brewing has a classic that more than fits that bill. Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro is a 6% ABV rich and creamy classic that’s dark as a winter’s night and as warming as a cabin fire.
