Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers You Need To Check Out
So many beers- So little time… Winter is undeniably here, and with it the beers of the season. And we’ve a number of interesting new offerings that you’ll want to chase down…We’ve also a recent collaboration from The Commons and Modern Times that sounds pretty serious as well.

A Beer of Stellar Proportions (Portland, OR) – Ecliptic Brewing is retuning something special that was the talk of the Portland and the Seattle International Beer Fests last year. Described as a “beer of stellar proportions,” Ecliptic Triple India Pale Ale is an enormous 12% IPA brewed with almost senseless amounts of Simcoe, Amarillo, Motueka, Azacca, Calypso, Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops.

A Common Good For Modern Times (Portland, OR) – The Commons recently released their first collaboration for Modern Times Beer and one of the first beers brewed at The Commons’ new brewery location. Made during last year’s Craft Brewers Conference in Portland, Good Problems is a rustic Saison that was fermented with a mixed culture featuring Brettanomyces from both breweries and aged on Nebbiolo wine grapes from Mosier, Oregon. The result is a bottle conditioned beer-wine hybrid that’s fruity, dry, complex and available now.
