So many beers- So little time… Winter is undeniably on its way and with it comes the beers of the season. And, yes, we’ve a number of interesting new releases that you’ll want to chase down…We’ve also some interesting new offerings from Southern Tier and 21st Amendment that sound serious as well.

25 Years In The Biz (Littleton, CO) – Breckenridge Brewery is celebrating their over two decades in the biz, with an especially exotic release. Breckenridge Twenty Five is a 9.8% Imperial Vanilla Porter that’s been aged in rum barrel imported from Barcelona. Yes!

Time For A Chat (San Francisco, CA) – 21^st Amendment is returning what many consider to be the perfect winter beer.  21st Amendment’s Fireside Chat is 7.9% English-style Strong Ale with a rich, dark color and bold flavor. And each year it’s laced with seasonal spices hand selected by brewmaster Shaun O’Sullivan each year to match the spirit of the holidays.

Multi-Headed (Lakewood, NY) – Southern Tier will be releasing a new addition to their Cellar Vault Series in January – so know that you’ve been warned. Southern Tier’s Four Headed Wooly Mammoth is a massive 11% ABV Belgian Quad brewed with Dark Belgian Candi Syrup (Kandijstroop Donker) and Belgian Abbey Yeast.

Accidents Hoppen (San Diego, CA) –   Green Flash has just released an “accidental” holiday brew that resulted when two different beer tanks were mistakenly blended. Once things calmed down and the initial panic subsided, Green Flash sampled the outcome and realized that they’d accidentally happened on something kind of special. Jolly Folly is that 7.7% ABV winter spiced hop bomb – and a holiday mistake that was meant to happen.

Colon Blow (Escondido, CA) – That was what some people at Stone wanted to call their new Stochasticity Project release, but saner minds prevailed for obvious reasons. Stone’s Stochasticity Project Grainiac is an 8.5% grain-forward creation that was brewed using 2-row pale malt, malted buckwheat, malted crystal millet, malted roast millet, white wheat malt.
