If ever there was a time for drinking at home and supporting you favorite craft brewery…that time is now.
And we’ve more interesting new releases that might keep you from crawling up the walls…
New Pilsner That Nails It (Portland, OR) – The award-wining and locally owned Von Ebert Brewing has a new addition to its roster that’s entirely hopped with an exotic New Zealand variety. Brewed using 100% Motueka hops, Van Ebert Motueka Pils is a 4.9% ABV Pilsner with subtle lime tones and an earthy, herbaceous mouthfeel.
“I love making pilsner,” said Sean Burke, Von Ebert Head Brewer. “I started exploring the different realms of the style way back in my homebrewing days and have never looked back. With Motueka Pils, I thought of a beer I made a few years ago with my friend, Andrew Childs of Behemoth Brewing in New Zealand. I always wanted to expand on that beer and see where we could go with it. This was my opportunity and I’m quite pleased with the final result.”
Bliss This! (Longmont, CO) – Oskar Blues Brewery has an intriguing new addition to its Can-O-Bliss IPA Series, a line of limited releases showcasing the blissed-out hop flavors that make IPAs the favorite beer style it is today. Hazed-out with five innovative hop varieties, Oskar Blues Can-O-Bliss Hazy IPA is a 7.2% ABV India Pale Ale with a juicy, layered hop character and big peach, pineapple and melon notes.
Hazy Doings (Comstock Park, MI) – Stressing safe, socially distanced methods, Perrin Brewing is providing fans in the Comstock Park area and throughout the state of Michigan with serious beer to weather this whole shelter-in-place thing, including the return one of the brewery’s most popular summer seasonals. Brewed with copious amounts of fresh grapefruit pulp and now in a newly designed package, Perrin Grapefruit IPA is a 5% ABV India Pale Ale with a deft tartness, a rich, malty backbone, and an uber-bright finish.
