Spring is ON and American craft brewers are addressing the season with a variety of ambitious new offerings that are fun and user-friendly…
Tower Powered (St Louis, MO) – Schlafly Beer has a special Promotional Series release that is brewed to benefit St Louis’ Tower Grove Park which relies on memberships to keep it running. Happily available in gracious 16oz cans, Schlafly Park Lager is a crisp, balanced and smooth 4% ABV American-style Lager with four different labels of beloved park settings.
“Since St. Louis is home to the American lager, we took inspiration from that for the various grains in the beer,” said Schlafly lead brewer Jared Williamson. “We added a touch of honey malt for sweetness and character as well as a nod to the new Tower Grove Park beekeeping and honey program. For the hops, we include Chinook to bring a bit of woody/piney notes to reference the park’s trees and Hallertau Blanc hops for an aromatic floral component like the flowers in the park.’
Pool Party (Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog Brewery has returned a fun seasonal that generated all kinds of buzz when it debuted in 2020. Crafted using traditional beer ingredients like Citra and Mosaic hops, Flying Dog Pool Hopping is a stripped-down 5.4% ABV summer ale that’s refreshing and tropical without the additional sweetness.
Eastern Visions (Hood River, OR) – On April 12th, pFriem Family Brewers is returning an award-winning limited release that took home a Gold medal at the 2020 Great American Beer Festival. Bursting with bright shiso plum, fresh bread, and violet aromatics, pFriem Japanese Lager is a 5% ABV Far Eastern refresher that smells like flowers and drinks like beer.

The perfect mix of session and IPA, Sierra Nevada Summer Break Session Hazy IPA is a juicy and deeply aromatic 4.6% ABV India Pale Ale that is impeccably crafted to pair with another.
