October is HERE…And brewers are addressing the season with a variety of interesting new beer offerings that should pair smartly with cooling weather.

Coast Haste (Newport, OR) – As both farmers and brewers Rogue understands the importance of fresh ingredients.  And now Rogue Ales is celebrating hop harvest season with something brewed with freshly picked hops from Rogue’s own farms. Crafted with freshly harvested inland hops that and quickly transported, 71 miles, to be brewed while still wet at Rogue’s production brewery on the Oregon Coast, Rogue Coast Haste is an 8.6% ABV Imperial Hazy IPA that’s freshness personified.

Kveik Thinking (San Diego, CA) –  Karl Strauss Brewing Company has a brand new Collaboration Series release that it did with AleSmith Brewing. Brewed with Norwegian Kveik yeast which is renowned for fermenting within days, instead of weeks like typical ale yeast, Karl Strauss Blink of an IPA (great name!), is a 6.5% ABV India Pale Ale with intense orange and fresh fruit flavors, and a pleasantly bitter finish that lingers.

, New Fall Seasonals, Wet Hop Ales And Hazy IPA’sMurky Madness (Petaluma, CA) – Lagunitas Brewing has a new take on the whole hazy IPA thing that they understatedly describe as “a succulent and murky monster.” Lagunitas Hazy Memory is an 8% ABV New England-Style cloudy IPA pumped to the max with wheat and oats, and Loral 291, Hallertau Blanc, Galaxy, and Citra Hops.

A Trail Pale (Hershey, PA) –   Tröegs Independent Brewing has joined The Nature Conservancy in its effort to protect Pennsylvania’s Kittatinny Ridge, an ecologically important 185-mile chain of forested Appalachian Mountains that runs through Pennsylvania. And as part of that effort they’ve brewed a small-batch Scratch Series release that uses wheat from Pennsylvania, barley and oats. Brewed but once every year and always worth the wait, Tröegs Trail Day is a 5.5% ABV Pale Ale with bight peach, passionfruit, lychee notes.
