New Joose Is Loose (Baltimore, MD) – On Friday, September 4th Heavy Seas Beer will debut a new addition to its audacious Joose Cannon Series, a line of small-batch beers inspired by the brewery’s landmark, Loose Cannon IPA.

Available for curbside pickup, exclusively at the Heavy Seas Taproom in 16oz 4-packs, Joose Cannon: Glacier Froot is a hazier take on its 7.25% ABV flagship, with fun artwork by local Baltimore artist, Chris Gipple, of Nightshift Creative, who also designed Heavy Seas’ 24 Anniversary beer label last December.

“We’ve brewed our new version of Joose Cannon with the usual oats, wheat and a dose of lactose to provide a satisfying, hazy IPA,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Chris Leonard. “But this time we’ve dry-hopped it with Citra, Mandarina Bavaria, and Simcoe Cryo/Lupulin Powder and added cherry and cranberry juice along with a strong helping of strawberry puree for a most satisfying, quenching hazy IPA experience.”

The seventh release by Founders brewed to raise awareness for ArtPrize, the beer was crafted using imported German malts and hops, Founders Oktoberfest is a 6% ABV Märzen Style Lager with a striking copper hue with a rich, malty backbone.

“Brewing traditional German-style beers, especially malt-forward lagers, isn’t something we’re especially accustomed to,” said Founders Brewmaster Jeremy Kosmicki. “I’ve really begun to enjoy drinking Märzens over the past few years and decided to get serious about a recipe.”
