Labor Day Weekend is upon us with half the nation is already in party mode. And American craft brewers are marking the passing of summer with fun new variety packs that make buying beer in bulk cool again.
Firestone Walker 2023 Mind Haze Tropical Hazy Mixed Pack
Firestone Walker is tripling down on a good thing with a mixed pack that features three Mind Haze variations that the brewery is calling a “psychedelic trifecta of flavors.”
Inspired as much by the legendary Bavarian Hefeweizens of southeastern Germany as it was America’s fast-evolving juicy IPAs, Firestone Walker Mind Haze IPA is truly its own thing. But now it has three interesting new variations all available Mind Haze Tropical Hazy Mixed Pack.
And here’s how the brewery describes all of this year’s Mind Haze IPA variations…
Mind Haze “Tropic Rocket” IPA
The newest addition to Firestone Walker’s family of Mind Haze IPAs, Tropic Rocket is dry hopped with Galaxy, Strata, Hüll Melon, El Dorado and Sabro, which creates explosive flavors of passionfruit, melon and strawberry.
Mind Haze “Tiki Smash” IPA
Tiki Smash IPA delivers a Tiki-inspired flavor combination born of pure hops and freshly toasted coconut. Original Mind Haze hops including Azacca are now joined by Motueka and Sabro hops. The Azacca portion has been increased to amplify the sense of pineapple tropical character, while Sabro delivers its complementary coconut qualities.
Mind Haze “Citrus Cyclone” IPA
Citrus Cyclone IPA delivers a cyclone of citrus flavors, finished with a kiss of real tangerine. The base beer is co-fermented with fresh California tangerines. This base is then blended back with a separate lot of dry-hopped Mind Haze, and finished off with a final dash of tangerine to elevate the citrusy top note. Along the way, the Mandarina hop adds a distinctive orange character. The result is a remarkably refreshing Mind Haze experience.

The Schlafly Biergarten Variety Pack
Schlafly Beer has an interesting new 12-pack that celebrates what we think the St. Louis craft brewery does best, that’s lagers, Oktoberfest beers and Bavarian-Style ales.
“Schlafly’s Oktoberfest is such a huge hit with our customers for the fall season that we wanted to create a full pack that embodies German seasonal beers,” says Schlafly CEO, Fran Caradonna. “This is our take on classic recipes and a nod to the rich history of that particular tradition.”
The 12-pack is Schlafly’s celebration of the German Biergarten tradition: an outdoor gathering spot to enjoy local beers located in villages and towns across Germany.
Schlafly’s Biergarten variety 12-Pack features three cans of each of the four beers:
- Dunkel Lager (ABV: 4.5%): Exceptionally smooth with a malt-forward flavor. Amber brown in color with a rich, medium-body – it refreshes like a true lager, yet it’s made to be savored slowly.
- Oktoberfest Amber Lager (ABV: 5.5%): A classic crowd-pleaser, this traditional Märzen from 16th century Bavaria is clean and balanced in its amber color, sweetness, and toasted malts.
- Munich Helles Lager (ABV: 4.5%): A clean yet complex lager with pleasant spicy notes, delicate noble hops, and a distinct white head. It’s more malt-forward and has a crisp and dry finish.
- Bavarian Weiss Ale (ABV: 5.1%): An unmistakable fruity banana flavor with notes of clove, this malty and refreshing brew is hazy and light-golden in color with a medium-light body.
