Biden Beer (Wilmington, DE) – In Delaware President-Elect Joe Biden is a fixture. Most locals have a story of meeting him somewhere, from ice cream shops to town festivals. But for many, the train between Wilmington and Washington was where they were most likely to run into ‘Uncle Joe.’ And now, the namesake brewery of the city Joe calls home, Wilmington Brew Works is commemorating his daily commute with a new brew.
With its vintage train poster artwork and presidential hop-forward posture, Wilmington Brew Works Rain Car One is what the brewery calls a Double Delaware IPA that promises to be historic.
Time to Get Blitzed (Dexter, MI) – Michigan’s North Peak Brewing is returning a beloved holiday release which was inspired by a classic Seinfeld episode where George’s father revives “Festivus for the Rest of Us,” a holiday he invented to replace Christmas. Brewed with rye malt and Michigan Chinook and Cascade hops, North Peak Blitzen is 6.8% ABV Winter Warmer with a crisp spiciness and sturdy malt backbone.
‘Tis the Season Wintery (Boston, MA) – The winter holidays are nearing and Samuel Adams is celebrating its arrival with a brand new cold-weather seasonal. Bold, complex and immensely aromatic, Samuel Adams Holiday White Ale is a pale gold 5.8% ABV unfiltered Witbier that’s delicately spiced with ground cinnamon, nutmeg and orange peel.
Tales of the Abyss (Bend, OR) – Family and employee owned since 1988, Deschutes Brewery is returning one of its most widely recognized, award-wining beers which they release every November. Deschutes The Abyss is a massive 11.7% ABV Imperial Stout with a deep, dark malt character and layers of licorice, cherry bark, and molasses flavors, which was aged this year in a blend of new Oak, bourbon and wine barrels.
