If ever there was a time for drinking at home and supporting you favorite craft brewery…that time is now.
And we’ve some interesting new releases that pair smartly with COVID-19 drinking games and the ‘New Normal.’
Cherry-Oh! (Kansas City, MO) – In the summer of 2014 Boulevard Brewing generated considerable buzz over a Radler they crafted with ginger and lemon. A Radler, also known as a Shandy, is a beer mixed with a soft drink, carbonated lemonade, ginger beer, ginger ale or any variety of juice, and Boulevard Brewing has a whimsical new one you need to check out.
Beautifully hazy and slightly pink in color, Boulevard Cherry Lime Radler is a 4.1% ABV summer sipper with a bold cherry character that gives way to a subtle tartness. Boulevard’s award-winning Unfiltered Wheat Beer serves as the base for the new seasonal, but it’s the interplay between bright cherry and lime flavors that steal the show.
Pretty Damn Essential (Malden, MA) – Idle Hands Craft Ales has a new addition to its lineup that they consider “pretty essential’’ and you might as well. Dry, crisp and lightly effervescent, Essential Premium Lager is a 5% ABV refresher that was deliberately brewed to have a subtle flavor and aroma.
This Takes the Cake! (Orange County, CA) – The Bruery has released their second collaboration beer with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams that’s inspired by one of its most popular flavors. Dark, thick and chocolaty, Hold The Spoon: Black Chocolate Cake is an 8.5% ABV Imperial Milk Stout with a complex malt bill, decadent cacao, milk sugar and vanilla notes….and just a pinch of salt.
Vlad You’re Back (Cincinnati, OH) – Fretboard Brewing is returning a fan favorite that won a World Beer Cup award in 2018, the largest international beer competition in the world. Available now for the first time in cans, Fretboard Vlad Pilsner is a 5.3% ABV Lager, that’s crisp clean and like its namesake, larger than life.
