New Beer Alert: The National Stout Month Edition

February is National Stout Month and American craft brewers are addressing things with a daker roster of beers that are worth celebrating.
Yeti Sighting (Denver, CO) – February is National Stout Month and Great Divide Brewing offers a classic which has spawned a multitude of memorable variations over the years,
A many times Great American Beer Festival winner in the Imperial Stout category, Great Divide Yeti is an iconic 9.5% ABV Imperial Stout which opens with a massive, roasty malt flavor with rich caramel and toffee notes, that eventually give way to a surprisingly dry, piney, and slightly citrusy hop finish due to a large quantity of American hops.
Blue Buried (Denver, CO) – Great Divide Brewing is also celebrating National Stout Month with a special release that according to the brewery was crafted for beer-loving muffin fans. Bursting with pastry-fueled power and all the intensity, you’d expect in an Imperial Stout, Great Divide Blueberry Muffin Yeti is a massive 9.5% ABV seasonal (Jan-Mar) stout with a sweet blueberry cake richness, and an unmistakable fresh-from-the-oven aroma.
Pace Yourself (San Diego, CA) – AleSmith Brewing has a new addition to its year-round portfolio that we can’t wait to get our hands on. inspired by the brewery’s legendary Speedway Stout. but in a lighter, more sessionable format AleSmith Pace Car is a smooth and uber-creamy 6% ABV Nitro Coffee Stout with rich and seductive coffee and chocolate tones, complemented by notes of roasted barley and subtle toffee character.
Packaged in 16oz 4-pack cans and draft, AleSmith Pace Car Nitro is now available at the brewery’s taproom as well as online and at many retail outlets in California, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Minnesota, Texas, Illinois, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Virginia and Washington DC.

Darkness, Darkness (Fort Collins, Colorado) – Odell Brewing has returned an Irish Dry Stout that’s incredibly true to style. An Irish Dry Stout is basically a black ale recognized for its pronounced roasted character and distinctively crisp, dry finish. Despite its dark, opaque appearance—which often hides deep ruby highlights—it is traditionally a sessionable, lower-alcohol beer
And in keeping with tradition, Odell Old Doods Stout is a robust, yet smooth 5% ABV Irish Dry Stout with rich notes of roasted barley, dark chocolate, and hints of coffee, a slight sweetness and mild bitterness
