Summer is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to have around.
Crispier (Booneville, CA) – Anderson Valley Brewing has released the first installment to their Rotational IPA Series and it’s a whole lot of fun. Described in restrained fashion by the brewery as “crispier than a bite from a fresh apple while frolicking in a frosty field under a new moon,” Anderson Valley Crisp IPA is a 6.8% ABV India Pale Ale that also happens to be gluten-reduced.
Summer In A Glass (Charlotte, NC) – Charlotte’s biggest independent brewer, Sycamore Brewing, has retuned a summertime offering that’s a fruit-forward take on one of the brewery’s most popular beers, Southern Girl Blonde Ale. Crafted with only the freshest berries, Sycamore Southern Girl Strawberry is a fruity 5.2% ABV Blonde Ale with just a touch of tartness that complements the beer’s honey and caramel base.
“Our original Southern Girl beer was named after our first brewhouse; a 15-barrell American-made workhorse that served us well from the original taproom’s opening in 2014 until 2017 when we needed to expand our production capacity,” says Sycamore Brewing’s co-owner, Sarah Taylor Brigham. “As we transition from our old taproom to the new one, we felt that it was fitting to give Southern Girl and its strawberry variant a refresh as its popularity continues to grow.”
Cologne Clone (Saint Louis, MO) – Schlafly Beer has an award-winning year-round offering that pairs brilliantly with summer. Brewed with a centuries-old yeast strain which was imported from Cologne, Germany Schlafly Kölsch Ale is an award-winning 4.8% ABV refresher with the fruity aroma of an ale and the crisp, clean finish of a lager.
