Spring will soon be arriving, and American craft brewers will be celebrating the warming weather with a smart roster of artisan brews you’re gonna want to chase down.

Crushable Anytime, Anywhere (Ashville, NC) – Highland Brewing was established in 1994 by Oscar Wong, a retired engineer and entrepreneur and a brewing legend in that region. It holds the distinction of being the first brewery to open in Asheville since Prohibition and is the largest independent, family-owned brewery native to the Southeast. And they’ve an approachable refresher that has become one of our favorite “end-of-day” beers at the American Craft Beer compound.

Fresh from taking a Gold at the 2025 World Beer Cup, Highland Daycation Gold is a surprisingly full-bodied Kölsch- Style Ale with a balanced malt backbone, subtle hop notes and an uber-clean finish.

Into The Deep Steep (Frisco, CO) -Located at 9,100 ft in Frisco, Colorado, with another high altitude taproom the French Alps, Outer Range Brewing is a unique brewing outfit committed to crafting serious beer while providing a snowy “mountain refuge” experience.

Named the “#1 Small Brewery in the US” by Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine, Outer Range has also been named the Official Beer Partner of Vail Resorts in Colorado. Through this partnership, Outer Range’s artisan beers will now be poured across all Vail Resorts’ Colorado destinations-as well as at select on-mountain and base-area bars and restaurants.

Founded in 2016 by Army veterans Lee and Emily Cleghorn, the brewery is also celebrating its 9th anniversary with one of the deepest things they’ve ever done. A higher octane version of their flagship “In the Steep” IPA, Outer Range Deepest Steepest is a thick and juicy 10.5% ABV Hazy India Pale Ale with bright passion fruit, candied lemon, and tangerine notes that linger.

This beer remains an active and popular release from the brewery, so if you’re in the Colorado Rockies, hopefully it’s around.

Shiner Enters The Non-Alcoholic Arena – (Shiner, TX) – The Spoetzl Brewery has a new non-alcoholic release that was inspired by the original Shiner Bock, the #1 craft beer in Texas.

Building on the success of Shiner’s Rode0 non-alcoholic line, which launched in 2023, Shiner Bock Non-Alcoholic is a buzz-free take on the #1  Bock Beer in the US. Just as with the original, this easy-drinking, Amber Lager deftly  blends roasted barley malt, German specialty hops, and artesian well water for a crisp, refreshing finish.

“We are seeing a generational shift in how people enjoy beer,” said Nick Weiland, Brand Director at Shiner Beer. “Shiner Bock has been a legendary Texas favorite since it debuted in 1913. With Shiner Bock Non-Alcoholic, long-time fans and new drinkers alike can enjoy the ritual of an ice-cold Shiner, regardless of alcohol content.”
