May is ON and American craft brewers are addressing the warming weather with an intriguing roster of refreshing beers you’re gonna want to have around as things heat up.

Blissful Drinking (Montauk, NY) – Montauk Brewing, the fastest-selling craft brewer in Metro New York that just happens to be owned by a Canadian cannabis company, has returned a popular favorite that was originally released to commemorate 4/20 Day, an international celebration of cannabis bliss. Crafted with a unique blend of terpenes for maximum pot-like dankness, Montauk Project 4:20 is a 6.8% ABV Hazy IPA with resinous, hempy character.

“This is one of our favorite limited releases of the year that we’ve brewed to celebrate all things green in April,” said Vaughan Cutillo, founder and brand director of Montauk Brewing. “The heady aromas and flavors of this potent IPA feel right at home around during Earth Month. More importantly, we can all keep it green by drinking Project 4:20 and supporting the important work of the Surfrider Foundation, our long-time friends whose work protecting our oceans, waves and beaches is incredibly important to the Montauk community.”

A Pilsner For The Masses (Escondido, CA) –  Stone Brewing has a new year-round offering that was first brewed at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens to service beer fans looking for something laid-back and light. As it turns out, that demand reached beyond the Bistro, and now Stone is releasing this “newbie” all throughout Southern California. Crisp and light bodied with a mild breadiness, Stone Pilsner is easy drinking 4.7% ABV Lager with clean orange, pear and watermelon notes that give way to a sweet corn chip finish.

Originally brought to the US by German immigrants, American Pilsners here have evolved considerably over the last decade Stone’s Pilsner is made with North American-grown ingredients and public varietal hops. “This beer is clean and crushable, with a light touch of Cashmere and Vista hops for good measure.

Deschutes Nails The Non-Alc IPA (Bend, OR) – Deschutes Brewery has taken a bold step into non-alcohol brewing and introduced one of their classic beers as a buzz-free variation. Crafted entirely in-house utilizing Sustainable Beverage Technologies’ BrewVo® technology in combination with Deschutes’ proprietary brewing methods Fresh Squeezed Non-Alcoholic IPA is brilliantly balanced and features the same Citra and Mosaic hops as the original, delivering refreshing notes of bright citrus and tropical fruit, with less than 0.5% ABV.

“Crafting a full fidelity non-alcoholic beer that delivers the flavor, aroma and mouthfeel of a great craft beer involves a lot more than just removing the alcohol,” said Peter Skrbek, CEO of Deschutes Brewery. Our patented and proprietary process, rooted in decades of brewing experience, ensures that our non-alcoholic products offer an excellent craft beer experience without the alcohol.”
