No matter what new year brings, it’s clear that Atlanta’s Monday Night Brewing  has had a great 2023.

Here’s the deal…

Monday Night Brewing is an American success story, that originally grew out of a small Atlanta Bible study group in 2006, where founders Jonathan Baker, Jeff Heck, and Joel Iverson first met and began brewing beer together in Heck’s garage.

They spent almost 5 years perfecting their beers before bringing them to market, launching Monday Night Brewing 2011 in Atlanta.

As their beer’s took off, they opened a West Midtown location in early 2013 which focused on core beer production and small batch hoppy beers. In September 2017, they opened a second facility, Monday Night Garage, in southwest Atlanta, which was conceived as a home for barrel-aged, sour beers and experimentation.

And while many American craft breweries struggled in 2023, Monday Night Brewing bucked that trend and here’s some of the things they accomplished last year.

In 2023, Monday Night Brewing launched more than 100 different beers in package and on tap and expanded distribution of its core brands, two beers in particular, Taco Tuesday a 4.5% ABV  Mexican-Style Lager and Death Raptor, a 6.9% ABV IPA.

They also collaborated with some of the country’s best breweries, 2 highly respected chefs and even musical heroes, Run The Jewels on uber-interesting, limited-edition beers.

Monday Night Brewing 8 medals from the “Big 3” world beer competitions, with notable recognition for their  barrel-aging and sour beer programs.

They also opened their fifth taproom over the summer (and first in North Carolina) in Charlotte -and plan debut their sixth location, in Knoxville, in early 2024.

In 2023 Monday Night Brewing continued to support local communities, fighting food insecurity in four states through our Death to Hunger initiative; dedicating proceeds from special beers to organizations like Lost and Found Youth and the Giving Kitchen; and providing sponsorships and in-kind donations to dozens of worthy non-profits in the communities we serve.

And last year Monday Night Brewing was voted “Best Brewery by” in Atlanta Magazine’s Best of Atlanta poll and named” Favorite Born and Raised Beverage” in the Georgia Restaurant Association’s People’s Choice Awards.
