The winter holidays are ON. And Miller Lite is celebrating the season with the return of its collectable ugly knitwear.
And no matter your thoughts about Miller Lite as a beer, you have to give it to Molson Coors. Its holiday knitwear is UGLY!
Miller Lite’s ugly holiday knitwear is audacious in both tastelessness and scale… Anchored by its trademark and “seriously ugly” holiday sweaters, this year’s collection also returns Miller Lite’s ugly socks, ugly beanies, ugly polo shirts, ugly beverage wraps and ugly knit tap handle covers.
“It’s hard to call these ugly sweaters; they’re actually very cool,” Sarah Showak, associate marketing manager for Miller Lite told Beer & Beyond. “Miller Lite’s been doing this for six years, and every year the collection gets better.”
In spite of public protests in 2021, MillerCoors has unapologetically opted to double down on bad decisions this year with the addition of Miller Lite Christmas tree ornaments which come in single bottle and or six pack variations.
And as if that wasn’t enough they are even offering Miller Lite Holiday Lights (Lites?).
The new holiday gear comes as Miller Lite wrapped up an impressive third quarter, where it grew net sales revenue by double digits, while growing dollar share in the premium lights category, Molson Coors CEO Gavin Hattersley told analysts during the company’s recent quarterly earnings call. “We have fantastic momentum behind Miller Lite right now.”
Miller Lite has always celebrated the holidays in its own special way, and this year is no different,” S
“Whether celebrating with friends at a bar or decorating at home,” Showak added. “The holidays are truly Miller Time.”
