Tampa Florida’s Cigar City is continuing to build its international presence…And this time they’ve touched down in the United Kingdom.
Looking to build on the strong UK presence of CANarchy portfolio-mate Oskar Blues Brewery has already established, Cigar City Brewing has announced that it has partnered with James Clay, the United Kingdom’s leading craft beer distributor, to distribute its award-winning brand throughout the UK.
In fact, the Florida craft beer invasion is already well under way…
On Friday, November 16th UK launch events took place throughout Scotland, Wales and England at ten world-renowned beer venues; during which James Clay reps educated attendees about CCB’s unique history and offerings…but primarily drank profusely.
And who wouldn’t? After all Cigar City is currently the fastest growing craft beer brand in the United States, growing by more than 60% in 2018. The brewery also boasts the 2nd best-selling craft six-pack in the US.
Neil Callaghan, Cigar City’s El Lector (whatever that title means) was clearly juiced about brewery’s entrance into the UK marketplace, about working with James Clay, and about British beer in general……
