Asheville, North Carolina-based Hi-Wire Brewing is empire-building again with plans for yet another new brewery and taproom, this time in Greater Cincinnati.

Here’s the deal…

From the mountains of Asheville to the sunny shores of Wilmington, Hi-Wire Brewing continues to make bold expansion moves. Founded in Asheville, N.C. in 2013, Hi-Wire already has three locations in Asheville. They also have taprooms in Charlotte, Durham and Wilmington, NC as well as Knoxville, TN, Louisville, KY, but they’re far from done.

On December 8 Hi-Wire announced plans for a new brewery and taproom in Cincinnati, its ninth location and the first in Ohio.

Set to open in Fall 2022, Hi-Wire Brewing Cincinnati will be located in Factory 52 a new multi-use lifestyle development in Greater Cincinnati which once was home to the US Playing Card factory.

Already under construction by PLK Communities, the Factory 52 campus will feature the Hi-Wire Brewing taproom alongside boutique retail shops, a dog park and a grand public courtyard.

“We have had a lot of success in other markets when we purposefully partner with developers that are already committed to reuse,” said Chris Frosaker, Hi-Wire co-owner. “We primarily seek campus-style locations in neighborhoods that are up-and-coming; so Factory 52 is just a great fit for our organization.”

Built around Norwood’s iconic hundred-year-old clock tower, Factory 52 will also feature a public market, a bark park, outdoor social areas, artisan eateries, luxury apartments and creative office spaces.

Hi-Wire Cincinnati is the company’s first location to boast a multi-level design.

Already under construction, the new 5800-square-foot space will feature a main hall bar with twenty-four taps and a large outdoor patio, a twelve-tap second floor bar and a 3780-square-foot rooftop deck overlooking the entire property on the third floor.

And as with all of Hi-Wire’s taprooms the Cincinnati location will feature walls covered in vibrant murals and a rotating selection of Hi-Wire Brewing’s own beer including year-round offerings, seasonals, specialties, sour and wild ales, and one-off releases.
