We’re not just hyping this first-of-its-kind “boots meets craft beer” promotion because we think it’s cool. We’re also hoping that Wolverine might send us a promo pair (10.5 M).

Here’s the deal

Wolverine is a Michigan boot-maker that’s been crafting cool boots for 135 years. And they’ve partnered with Dragon’s Milk, a New Holland Brewing spinoff barrel-aged stout brand, on a special pair of limited-edition footwear.

Inspired by Dragon’s Milk’s  dark colors and notes of coffee, chocolate, vanilla and oak, Wolverine has crafted an uber-cool limited edition version of its 1000 Boot which, like rich stout, will only get better with time.

The Dragon’s Milk x 1000 Mile boot features roughout suede from England’s finest suede manufacturer, Charles F. Stead with the texture mimicking the oak bourbon barrels that Dragon’s Milk is aged in.

The suede is tanned in a smooth, waxy mohawk, exposing the natural grain and intricate texture while the coloring matches the deep, rich chocolate hues of Dragon’s Milk.

The bronze hardware detailing, found on each boot, is a reflection of the hardware used on the brewery machinery; and, is also adorned with a removable metal fob in the shape of a dragon.

An embossed Dragon’s Milk logo is featured on the tongue and is paired with classic, yet simple monochromatic laces to transform Dragon’s Milk beer into wearable, functional, and quality footwear.

The boot is made in Wolverine’s classic 1000 Mile Evans silhouette featuring a leather outsole with a Vibram® rubber forepart, and Goodyear™ Welt construction, allows for the boot to be re-soled for many years of wear

In addition to its core Dragon’s Milk Bourbon Barrel-Aged Stout, the brand now has a growing line of variations including; Dragon’s Milk White a 6% ABV bourbon barrel-aged white stout, Dragon’s Milk Solera, a 10% ABV foeder-aged ale, Dragon’s Milk Reserve, an always interesting take on the original stout with different ingredients added annually, and Dragon’s Milk Triple Mash, a 17% ABV monster which is aged in New Holland Spirits oak barrels.
