Actor Daniel Craig has played James Bond in the popular film franchise since 2002. And he’s giving up his signature dry Martini for beer in his latest Heineken commercial.
But at least it’s not hard seltzer…
Daniel Craig’s new spot for Heineken is but the latest in a series of Bond /Heineken tie-ins that span eight films and 23-years.
Set to celebrate both the beer brand and the new James Bond flick, No Time To Die, his latest Heineken spot may be the best yet.
With Craig back as Bond, his fifth and final outing as 007, Heineken has some fun with the idea of the actor becoming forever associated with the popular film series. And with this being his swan song as Bond (and Bond Heineken commercials) it’s actually a brilliant, self-deprecating hoot.
Craig also does a short spot for Heineken 0.0%, the brewer’s bestselling non-alcoholic option and it’s fun too.
This from Heineken Senior Director Gianluca Di Tondo, who in addition to overseeing the beer giant’s global operations is clearly a James Bond movie fan…
“Heineken has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the James Bond franchise for over two decades, covering the last eight films.”
“Ahead of the release of ‘No Time To Die’ we wanted to bring a twist to the iconic character and show how Bond lives beyond the film – as we believe, once James Bond, always James Bond.”
In addition to the two commercials, Heineken will also be initiating consumer promotions and social media campaigns as well as introducing limited edition packaging promoting both the beer and the movie.
No Time To Die, is the twenty-fifth James Bond film from EON Productions and will be released globally from April 2 in the UK through Universal Pictures International and in the U.S on April 10, from Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios.
