Brooklyn Brewery Celebrates Dry January With New Buzz-Free Beers

Once an afterthought, craft brewers have gotten serious about non-alcoholic beers. And Brooklyn Brewery, a pioneer in this uber-hot sector, is celebrating “Dry January” with new NA brew, which is exclusive to its Special Effects Variety Pack.

Here’s the deal…

On December 6 NYC’s  Brooklyn Brewery made it clear that they were serious about crafting serious buzz-free beer. And that what started with the introduction their Side Effects brand was not an aberration.

In 2021 Brooklyn Brewery launched Special Effects Variety Pack, the first nationally distributed NA package of its kind and it became an immediate success. The Special Effects Variety Pack is now its #3 highest volume overall package sold, with the Special Effects portfolio representing more than 10% of the brand’s total US sales

This sales milestone only reinforced the brewery’s commitment to keeping up with the changing preferences of a diverse customer base with its ever-evolving NA lineup.

Enter Special Effects Grapefruit IPA, the newest addition to the brewery’s growing NA family that is exclusively available in the 2024 Special Effects Variety Pack.

“What started out as a fun experiment in a blending session turned into something really great,” said Brooklyn Brewery’s Brewmaster and James Beard Award Winner Garrett Oliver….

“The entire brewing team was initially just playing around with grapefruit juice, but we were all amazed by how good it ended up tasting. It quickly became a favorite with our team, and we’re thrilled for everyone to be able to try it as part of the new Special Effects Variety Pack.”

Alongside the zesty newcomer, the buzz-free collection also includes will continue to  the following NA brews, which are also available for individual sale as well:

• Brooklyn Special Effects Hoppy Amber – Brooklyn Brewery’s original non-alcoholic brew; smooth and flavorful, with a classic lager taste.
