Strand Brewing Company was started by two surfing buddies who started their company in a tiny space at a Torrance, California-based industrial park. The brewery is located amongst the sleepy beach towns of southern Santa Monica bay. To the north, shadowed only by the snow-capped peaks of the Angeles National Forest. To the south, the green foothills of the Palos Verdes Peninsula plunge dramatically into a rocky shoreline. West, the mass of Santa Catalina Island rises thousands of feet from the sea floor, breaching the surface of the deep blue Pacific… And now there is serious craft beer here.
