Brewery Moves – Wild Leap Expands, Enlightened Brewing Moves And The Cisco Brewers Beer Garden Returns

|May 9th, 2019|

In spite of the more than 7300 craft breweries currently online in the US, we continue to receive new announcements almost daily.

And here’s just some of what’s happening around the country.

Cisco Brewers Beer Garden Returns To Boston Seaport

On May 14th Cisco Brewers is returning its island-themed pop-up beer garden to the Boston Seaport development for a second season.

“Our experience on Nantucket is all about decompressing, letting your guard down and enjoying the island lifestyle with music, friends, food, family, dogs and drinks.  We are excited to bring it back to Boston Seaport for a second season,” said Jay Harman, CEO of Cisco Brewers. “Cisco Seaport’s goal is to offer our customers a chance to live the Cisco experience in the city and give them a little reminder of what Nantucket has to offer.

The Cisco Brewers Seaport pop-up is the brewery’s second off-island location to open in New England. The Nantucket-based brewery also took ownership of the Cisco Portsmouth location in New Hampshire last year.

Wild Leap Takes A Wild Leap

Just a few months shy of their second anniversary, Wild Leap Brew Co. is taking the major step of expanding its brewing capacity by nearly 60%.

Wild Leap is installing additional 120-barrel fermentation tanks to its LaGrange, Georgia-based brewhouse, signaling a significant increase in its production and the potential to expand its reach to new markets.

And to make room for additional tanks, Wild Leap will be reconfiguring its production space. According to Chris Elliott, Wild Leap’s chief brewing office the brewery will be “rearranging and maximizing every inch of our production area to accommodate the expansion.”

Enlightened Moves

Milwaukee’s Enlightened Brewing is making big moves with a spacious new brewery and taproom located just down the road from its original location.

Enlightened Brewing new 14,000-square-foot location, which opens to the public on May 11, will allow the brewer the capability to craft 3,000 barrels per year, according to the Milwaukee Record “and up to about 7,000 or 8,000 barrels if they decide to add more tanks in the space that’s allocated for expansion.”

In addition to an increased production capacity and heightened tap presence, Enlightened’s striking new sunlit taproom will be able to accommodate up to 234 beer lovers (along with their dogs) and the ability to can some of its beers.
