BrewDog Blows Away Crowdfunding Targets Again!

BrewDog’s most recent Equity for Punks campaign draws to a close next week and the company is already  celebrating its most successful crowdfunding round EVER.

Launched last October, Equity for Punks V saw the Aberdeenshire brewer reach its initial goal £10 million, in less than 90 days.

And although BrewDog’s constantly upscaled incentives were no doubt, inviting, things got crazy when they partnered a highly regarded third-party platform.

Last month, the Aberdeenshire brewer announced that its Equity for Punks V would be be available to investors via Crowdcube, the United Kingdom’s leading equity crowdfunding platform, and things only accelerated from there.

By tapping into Crowdcube’s community of seasoned investors, BrewDog has now surpassed its original £10m target by more than 13 million, with additional participation from over 45,000 investors.

As of today, Equity for Punks V has defied all records and stands as BrewDog’s highest crowdfunding achievement to date. No small feat for an organization that grew from two craft beer renegades and a dog, to being named in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 for the sixth consecutive year in 2017.

BrewDog was also just named in BrandZ’s Top 75 Most Valuable Brands 2018 “as not only the UK’s most valuable alcohol brand, but also the only beer brand to appear on the list.”

BrewDog now employs more than 1,500 people worldwide with 58 craft beer bars across the globe. It also boasts world-class breweries in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, and Columbus, Ohio, with a third under construction in Brisbane, Australia…They also just opened new beer hotel on the grounds of their US brewery and will be building another DogHouse hotel next to their Scotland facility.

All these efforts are funded by their huge tribe of investors attracted to a company that has been profitable every year since 2008.
