BrewDog Bars Celebrate A Month Of Darkness

Nobody markets what they’re doing (and brewing) better than BrewDog.

Sure they’re big and well-funded but they still convey a real passion for their beers and they strive to keep things unbelievably fun at their bars.

BrewDog Bars are at the core of the business, branded outlets that not only spread the BrewDog word but serve as huge conduits for their beer.

BrewDog Bars serve as front-line beer ambassadors celebrating the company’s vision, constantly finding new ways to keep the craft beer experience vital and again, FUN, be it through bar stool drinking classes or Birthday parties for your dog…

To understand the intrinsic importance of BrewDog’s UK and international bar network one only has to look to the traditional pub and brewery distribution system in the UK, where large pub chains serve as outlets for company sanctioned beer that is served chain wide.

Breweries such as Fuller’s have opted to cut out the middleman and build their own network of pubs that cater almost exclusively to their brand…And over the years BrewDog has been building a national and international network of bars with a similar model.

And in November, with the nights growing longer, BrewDog will be returning its annual Month of Darkness to all its UK Bars where 40% of their draft lines will be dedicated to dark beer style like Porters (which the Brits understand better than most) Stouts, Schwarzbier and, yes, Black IPAs.

Smart, smart, smart.

Craft breweries should always be looking to new way to celebrate what they do and BrewDog gets this better than most.

And maybe with craft beer’s momentum slowing in the states, it’s time for American craft brewers to find fun ways to celebrate what they’re brewing…

Yes, some American breweries are finding ways to keep things creative…But given craft beer’s increasingly competitive landscape, too many aren’t.

And when brewing craft beer becomes a mundane experience it’s time to get out.
