A Holiday Sour (Krebs, OK) – Prairie Artisan Ales is home to some of our favorite beers and beer labels. And they’ve a special holiday release that’s amazingly not a winter warmer or a stout. Crafted with cranberries, ginger, cinnamon & nutmeg, Prairie Artisan Seasick Crocodile is a 6.3% ABV Sour Ale that’s both tart and festive.

Port City Brewing Returns A GABF Winner (Alexandria, VA) – In October Port City Brewing was awarded a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) for the Kellerbier / Zwickelbier category. And to celebrate that big win, the brewery is re-releasing the limited, draft only, Lager Series brew in its tasting room. Brewed with pilsner malt, noble hops, Port City German Pilsner is a 5% ABV Bohemian interpretation of the pilsner tradition, a little lighter in body and color and sporting a more lingering hop character.

Heavy Seas Goes Nuts (Baltimore, MD) –Heavy Seas Beer has returned a special Uncharted Waters Series release variation that we can’t wait to chase down. Aged for five weeks in bourbon barrels with coconut, Heavy Seas Coconut Siren Noire is a 9.5% ABV Imperial Chocolate Stout with a full-bodied and coco-nutty mouthfeel.

Highland Brewing Releases its First Barrel-Aged Beer (Asheville, NC) – Highland Brewing has just introduced the first release from its Southern Nouveau Series, a special line of barrel-aged ales and sours. Aged in specially curated bourbon barrels for more than one year, Highland Barrel-aged Black Watch is a 11.5% ABV Chocolate Milk Stout with a brownie batter character and spicy bourbon and oak notes. All Southern Nouveau Series beers will be released on draft and in 500-ml bottles at the brewery with extremely limited distribution as the series develops.
