Beer Writers Win Big In The UK
Beer Writers Win Big In The UK
The British Guild of Beer Writers Awards are the only competition in the UK to recognize and reward serious writing and broader communication about beer and pubs .
The 2020 Annual Awards attracted close to 150 entries across nine categories including books, newspaper articles, blogs, and radio broadcasts.
The British Guild of Beer Writers was formed in 1988 to help spread the word about beers, brewing and pubs. And it’s currently chaired by Pete Brown, one of the UK’s most accomplished beer writers.
This year’s competition also included two new categories: Best Writing about No and Low Alcohol Beers, sponsored by Budweiser Brewing Group UK & Ireland and Best Beer & Pub Communications during Lockdown, sponsored by Shepherd Neame, Britain’s oldest brewer.
