This weekend’s collection of late winter offerings are dark, hoppy, hazy, and February-ready!

Giving A Wit (East Aurora, NY) – The 42 North Brewing Company is finally canning a classic. Available in cans for the first time, 42 North Wallonia Wit is a 5.4% ABV Witbier with a complex wheat and barley grain bill, a balanced, citrus, low-bitter taste, and traditional orange peel and coriander spicing. The Walons are a French speaking people hailing from Belgium that immigrated to the US throughout the 1800s. And the label artwork, by local-artist Ken Trabert, is inspired by their history.

Zipline Goes Low Calorie In Local Time (Lincoln, NE) – One of the beer industry’s biggest trends lately is lower calorie beers. It’s a reaction to the success of products such as Michelob Ultra and the migration of millennials to lower caloric beverages like hard seltzers. Set to debut in April 2020, Zipline Local Time is a 4% ABV Lager with just 100 calories and 4 grams of carbohydrates. “Historically, lighter lagers have had a certain reputation,” explained Zipline co-founder Tom Wilmoth. “The point of Local Time is to show that it is possible to brew an easy drinking lager that doesn’t sell out on taste.”

Get Creamed (Kailua-Kona, Hawaii) – Kona Brewing has a new easy-drinking limited release that’s available now through April 2020.  Inspired by the Piña Colada and brewed with real coconut & pineapple, Kona Colada Cream Ale is a 6% ABV island cocktail-inspired refresher that is brewed with Sabro hops.

, Beer Run: New Witbiers, Fruit Sours And Hazy IPA’sAll American H (Ft Collins, CO) – New Belgium Brewing has a new year-round addition to its Voodoo Ranger line.  Brewed with a passion for freedom as well as with passionfruit, Voodoo Ranger American Haze is a boldly unfiltered and uber-juicy 5% ABV Hazy IPA that was crafted using all American hops.

Purple With Purpose (Cape May, NJ) – Cape May Brewing can never be accused of playing it safe and a current taproom-only release is a perfect example of that. Sweet with a hint of tartness, and full of Concord grape goodness, Cape May’s The Purp is a 5% ABV Purple Grape Shandy that they provocatively suggest “would be more at home out of a sippy cup than on tap.”
