The beer biz never sleeps at American Craft Beer. And here’s just some of what’s been happening in the beer world while you were enjoying the weekend.
2024 was another difficult year for the brewing biz, marking the first time in decades that the overall number of craft breweries in the US declined according to the Brewers Association.
But in spite of the many headwinds the industry is facing Burlington, Vermont-based Zero Gravity Craft Brewery ended up having a banner year and entered the Brewers Association’s 2024 list of the Top 50 US craft breweries for the first time in its 21-year history.
“Hitting this milestone proves that patience, balance, and a good sense of humor can still win in craft beer,” said Matt Wilson, CEO of Zero Gravity. “We’ve always kept it simple: brew delicious beer that we’re proud to share with our neighbors.”
Zero Gravity also remains a proud 1% for the Planet member, funneling a portion of sales toward environmental initiatives and community projects that help to protect Vermont’s Green Mountain landscape.
