The beer biz never sleeps at American Craft Beer. And here’s just some of what’s been happening in the beer world while you were enjoying the weekend.
California Craft Beer Week Returns
One of the nation’s most important beer week’s is ON now through the 27th and of course, it’s in California.
Enjoy the best of California craft beer with a weeklong celebration of unique beer events festivals, specialty beer releases and more across the Golden State. California Craft Beer Week is a statewide movement that brings people together, supports small businesses and build community all at the same time.
And every year, independent breweries across California unite to brew a limited release beer in support of the nonprofit behind California Craft Beer Week.
Each beer is brewed in a style the brewery is best known for – all released under one unifying label: the CCBA Brewers Collaboration, so you know what to do.
“California Craft Beer Week brings the craft beer community together in support of local breweries and the community spaces where connection thrives and all are welcome,” said CCBA Executive Director Kelsey McQuaid-Craig.
“Whether you are a long-time fan of craft beer or never visited a brewery before, we hope you will participate in one of the many events across the State, try a pint of the CCBA Brewers Collaboration beer release, or purchase the first-ever California Pint Day glass, all at participating breweries near you.”

“The Yancey’s brand is known for robust flavored cheese, so when the Pabst team approached us, we were thrilled to create a truly unique cheese,” said Yancey’s CEO, Eric Cosnoski. “We spent 6 months meticulously refining the taste and mimicking the nuanced botanicals to capture the complex taste experience of drinking a PBR.”
“Yancey’s history with cheese-making crossed with the legacy of Pabst Blue Ribbon creates a nostalgic tip of the hat to the long history of cheese and beer, “ added Hunter Cox, Brand Manager of Pabst Blue Ribbon. They did a killer job with the flavor profile, honing the notes of PBR to sit well with the tang of the cheddar.”
Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer Flavored Cheese is now out in supermarkets nationwide, so you know what to do!
