New Brooklyn Brewery Beer Refresh Embraces Its NYC Roots
Brooklyn Brewery has debuted a new look for its East IPA, a longtime staple of its core portfolio and a fan favorite since its debut in 1996. The refreshed design highlights East IPA’s steady presence in the city’s craft beer landscape, while keeping the same balanced, citrus-forward IPA inside.

According to Brooklyn Brewery, the new packaging moves away from East IPA’s former travel-themed aesthetic and instead draws from the everyday visuals of New York—subway cars, dive bars, basketball courts, and corner spots…a redesign that captures the grit, energy, and character of the city that’s always been at the heart of the beer.
“East IPA has always felt like a true New York beer—unpretentious, flavorful, and built with character,” Brooklyn Brewery’s CMO Karli Bainbridge explained. “The new look taps into the places and moments that define our city. It’s not about reinvention—it’s about refreshing the design to feel real to who we are and where we’re from.”
Brooklyn Brewery will also introduced a limited-edition East IPA merch line, designed to reflect the beer’s place in NYC culture and its connection to the city’s everyday style.

Dragon’s Milk Introduces Its First-Ever IPA
New Holland Brewing, the team behind the iconic Dragon’s Milk series, has a new addition to its famous line of barrel-aged stouts that’s both a continuum and a departure. Developed over two years, Dragon’s Milk Emerald IPA is a massive 11% ABV India Pale Ale that stays true to the core values that have defined the Dragon’s Milk line for more than two decades: bold character, layered flavor, and a deep respect for time, oak, and craft.
Fermented entirely in large oak foeders, Emerald IPA develops natural vanilla, soft oak, and a round body from the start. This sets it apart from beers that are only barrel aged. Brewed with Lotus hops, it delivers bright citrus, floral lift, and gentle spice for a refreshing and complex finish.
“This beer is the natural result of our ongoing curiosity around what wood can do,” said Brett VanderKamp, Founder of New Holland Brewing Co. “We have always explored how time and oak shape flavor, and this time we applied that philosophy to hops. Emerald IPA is a new direction, but it carries the same spirit that defines every Dragon’s Milk release.”
