New Lagunitas Party Promotion Rocks

Lagunitas Brewing is concerned that people are partying less than ever and they hope to counter that tend with a big new giveaway that comes complete with a statue made of you to celebrate your party-legend status, a trip to party at the brewery in Petaluma, California, $5000 in party cash, and even an on-tap party beer named after you.

Lagunitas has always been about more than just brewing great beer—we brew good times and moments to come together with friends and family,” said Hannah Dray, Chief Marketing Officer at Lagunitas Brewing Company…

“Right now, partying in America is at an all-time low, and we need a Party Legend to help bring it back. The Party Legend search is our way of celebrating the people who bring the party: the ones who gather their crew, celebrate what actually matters, and turn everyday moments into something memorable. It’s not about throwing the biggest party; it’s about keeping the spirit alive, one cold beer at a time.”

Craft Beer Con Returns To San Diego

San Diego Brewers Guild has announced the return of the 2025 Craft Beer Con on, August 5 at Mira Costa College’s San Elijo campus. The annual half-day conference for the San Diego beer industry, also known as The Capital of Craft™, is open to the general public.

Tickets are $70 for the general public and $60 for Brewers Guild members. The price includes a catered lunch from Brewers Guild member Culver Beer Co.’s Locally Toasted Delicatessen, along with unlimited beer tastings during the happy hour.

“As always, we welcome anyone and everyone who has an interest in craft beer,” said Brewers Guild Executive Director Erik Fowler. “It’s one of the best professional development opportunities of the year for our industry where you can meet key players, and, of course, have a great time socializing and sipping.”

The three education tracks for this year’s conference are “The People of Beer”, “Your Beer”, and “Business, Sales & Marketing”. Attendees can learn from such topics as driving engagement for taproom events, submitting beers for competitions like Great American Beer Festival, and winning in distribution. One session is dedicated to education on wet hop beers, which are brewed shortly after the hop harvest season – and that subsequently have a shorter shelf life.

San Diego County has more than 150 independent craft brewery locations, up from only 15 in 1997 when San Diego Brewers Guild was founded. The Guild includes allied brewery members, tradespeople, and other providers supporting the production and distribution of craft beer.
