Elon Musk gets into the beer biz. We’ve that, “Words to Drink By” and more…

Tesla Debuts New Cyberbeer In US

In 2021 news broke that Tesla has trademarked the rights to use the phrases “Giga Beer” and “Giga Bier,” according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Then during the “Giga Fest” event held on October 9th in Berlin, Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated “that the company will develop a beer, among other things, that it will sell under the Tesla brand in the coming years.”

In 2023 Tesla introduced Tesla GigaBier is a 5% ABV German-Style Pilsner that was powered by “cybershops” and available to ship to 17 countries in Europe, including France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland and Norway.

And now the company has a pricy new release in honor of the upcoming launch of its latest electric vehicle, the Cybertruck and unlike their last beer, this one is only available in the US.

Brewed and bottled by Buzzrock Brewing in in California, Tesla Cyberbeer is an aggressive 7% ABV Helles Lager crafted with European noble hops, Saaz and Hallertau Mittlefruh (you pronounce that one!).

Tesla Cyberbeer is available on the company’s online shop for $150, (so yeah, not cheap) as limited edition set including two 330ml bottles and two steins in trippy black ceramic bottles inspired by the Cybertruck’s “exoskeleton.”

The beer and steins will ship in late October, which is around the time the Cybertruck could also begin rolling off the production line to customers.

Czech Republic Hop Region Makes World Heritage List

“Žatec and the Landscape of the Saaz Hops” has been added to the World Heritage list by The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) according to The Drinks Business.

Part of the “noble” family Saaz hops, are in fact named after the Czech town of Žatec and are used extensively in the region’s most popular lagers including the Czech Pilsner.

In its announcement UNESCO notes the region’s “particularly fertile hop fields near the river Ohře” that have been “farmed for hundreds of years” and its “historic villages and buildings used for processing hops”.
