Some people go to a brewery with the intention of getting” high,” but a craft brewery in Singapore has taken this concept to whole new level. Weve that, “Words to Drink By” and more.

Craft Beer Production Down & Dollars Up in 2024

On April 15 Our friends at the Brewers Association just released their annual Craft Brewing Industry Production Report for 2024 which at best was a mixed bag

Collectively, American craft brewers produced 23.1 million barrels of beer in 2024, a decline of 4% from 2023. At the same time craft’s overall beer market share by volume remained essentially flat at 13.3%, the same share as in 2023, as the overall U.S. beer market* declined by 1.2% in volume.

However craft beer’s retail dollar value rose to an estimated $28.9 billion, a 3% increase over the previous year. This growth reflects pricing adjustments and steady performance in onsite sales, which outpaced distributed sales in many markets. Craft beer accounted for 24.7% of the total beer market in retail dollar sales.

“In a mature market, not every year is going to be defined by substantial growth,” said Matt Gacioch, the Brewers Association’s staff economist. “While progress may not come in additional production volume, it can still come in honing operations, business practices, and world-class beer. Even in this challenging environment, small brewers have demonstrated that they have the skills and resilience to fight through this period to be better positioned for the months and years ahead.”

The World’s Highest Brewery

Some people go to a brewery with the intention of getting” high” but a craft brewery in Singapore has taken this concept to whole new level. And on March 12, Singapore’s LeVeL33 was awarded the title of Highest Microbrewery in a Building by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS according to Craft Brewing Business.

Standing at 149.32 meters (489.89 ft), LeVeL33 was founded in 2010 by Dr. Martin Bém, to merge old-world brewing traditions within an elevated urban setting.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS just ahead of our 15th anniversary,” stated Bém. “We see this as an important achievement for LeVeL33 as well as an opportunity to showcase the Singapore story of odds-defying innovation, record-breaking growth, and unique, world-class sustainable experiences.”
