You know when a major poultry producer starts brewing beer specially marinated for grilling beer can chicken, that the world will never be the same. We’ve that, Tina Turner and more.

Beer Can Chicken Beer Is Finally Here

Back in February we reported on a Hormel Chili Cheese Beer. And to be honest we weren’t that complimentary. But that beer which was actually produced for Hormel by Modist Brewing sold out immediately, so what do we know.

And now one of the country’s largest poultry producers, Perdue has announced the launch of its Beer Can Chicken Beer, that the company is selling exclusively online, just in time for grilling season.

Specially made for both grilling and drinking Perdue Beer Can Chicken is a 5.5% ABV Summer Ale with honey, rosemary, thyme, and pink peppercorn that was crafted for the poultry producer by Manhattan-based brewery Torch & Crown Brewing.

Beer can chicken has long been one of the most popular methods of grilling poultry,” said Julie Lehman, Perdue’s vice president of marketing,” “but we noticed a lack of consensus on what type of beer is best.”

Online recipes for beer can chicken have proliferated in recent years, according to Perdue’s research, with Google searches peaking around Memorial Day.

Words to Drink By

“People think my life has been tough, but I think has been a wonderful journey. The older you get, the more you realize it’s not what happens, but how you deal with it.” – Tina Turner (1939 – 2023)
