Stoup Distro Bags Russian River Beers
Seattle, Washington-based Stoup Brewing has expanded their distribution biz, Stoup Distro, into Spokane, Washington and taking Windsor, California-based Russian River Brewing’s exceptional beer line with them.
As the New School reports, “Stoup Distro was started in 2022 in partnership with Portland’s Day One Distribution founder Robbie Roda to distribute independent craft breweries beers around Washington with a limited service area along the I-5 corridor from Tacoma to Seattle and Bellingham.”
The northern California-based Russian River is one of the most popular and sought after brands in the country, renowned for cult beers such as Pliny the Elder and Pliny the Younger, Blind Pig IPA, as well as STS Pilsner, and a great series of Belgian-Style ales and Lambics.
When asked about opening a new Washington State territory, Natalie Cilurzo, Co-Owner and President of Russian River Brewing Company, said, “We are very excited to hear that the folks at Stoup Brewing are expanding their distribution footprint into Spokane and taking us with them. This has been a strong craft beer market and we hope will provide good potential growth opportunities for both Stoup and RRBC!”

Big Grove Brewery Gives Back Bigtime
We love when craft breweries give back to their communities like Big Grove Brewery which has started its own foundation that offers mini-grants to support local projects that enhance and revitalize neighborhoods
In 2013, Big Grove Brewery opened its doors in Solon, Iowa, built on a foundation of quality beer and food, and genuine Iowa hospitality. Along the way, they’ve made their mission to give back, partnering with local organizations to uplift the communities that have been by their side
To manage this innovative program, Big Grove has established the Big Grove For Good Foundation, a private 501(c)(3) foundation, responsible for the setup and operation of the program through reviewing applications, selecting recipients, and distributing the funds.
Funding for the micro-grants comes directly from sales of Big Grove’s The Neighborhood Beer, a 4.5% ABV Lager that is now available at all Big Grove taprooms and at retail locations in Iowa, Nebraska, and Western Illinois. For every case sold, $1 goes directly to Big Grove For Good to fund the micro-grants and neighborhood betterment within Big Grove’s distribution and taproom footprint.
