The Best Craft Brewery In Mexico (Mexico City) – Last week the Copa Cerveza competition, one of Mexico’s most prestigious beer competitions, took place in the capital city. Baja California’s  Wendlandt Cerveceria was named the best large craft brewery Mexico at the annual beer event.

 Wendlandt Cerveceria was awarded gold medals at this year’s competition and named Best Large Brewery for the second time according to Mexico News Daily. It was also the sixth consecutive year that the Baja California brewery has taken home multiple medals.

In 2018, Mexican craft breweries produced 15.5% of all the beer in Mexico. Over the past nine years, the industry has become an increasingly important part of the Baja California economy.

One of more than 200 craft breweries in Baja California,  Wendlandt Cerveceria, which was founded by Eugenio Romero in 2012, is now the second largest producer of artisanal beer in Mexico.

, Beer News: Best Craft Brewery In Mexico And Beer Tour ConsolidationBrew Tour Consolidation (Portland, OR) – BREWVANA, Portland’s leading craft beer tour operation has sold a majority stake to City Brew Tours, the nation’s biggest brewery tour company based on the East Coast. Effective Nov. 1, the company will become BREWVANA managed by City Brew Tours.

City Brew Tours was founded in Vermont in 2008 and quickly expanded tour operations into other beer-drenched cities, including Washington, DC n 2014, Philadelphia in 2015, and Baltimore in 2016.
