Beer Buzz – Prague’s Draft Beer To Your Door, Boise Turns Toilet Water into Beer And More!

|October 24th, 2018|

Yikes October’s just flying by…but the craft beer biz isn’t slowing down any time soon. But no worries, the Beer Buzz is always on the case, keeping you up on all the beer news and lifestyle that matters. Plus we’ve an all-important update on what we’ve been drinking lately and you don’t want to miss that!

Prague’s New Online Pub Delivers Fresh Draft Beer To Your Door (Czech Republic) – You may have to move to Eastern Europe…but still.

Peevo is an online draft beer delivery service that uses a special pouring process to deliver fresh airtight beer that arrives perfectly chilled and lasts up to a month from a handpicked selection of the Czech Republic’s most interesting craft breweries.

Founded by Two childhood friends Peevo offers a specially curated, ever-changing selection of draft beers from some of the Czech Republic’s top microbreweries that users can order online (or on their phones) and receive in plastic or glass bottles within hours.

Words To Drink By (Milton, DE) – “We’re heading into an incredibly competitive era of craft brewing… There’s a bloodbath coming.” Dogfish Head’s Sam Calagione to Bon Appétit in 2014

Pilot Program Turns Recycled Water Into Beer (Boise, ID) – Used water from  the city of Boise that was flushed down the toilet or sent down the drain, treated at Boise facilities, re-treated and then turned over local craft brewers to make beer and cider according to KTVB  .

Boise used ultra-filtration, reverse osmosis, UV ultra violet light and advanced oxidation (whew!) to produce “water that’s cleaner than drinking water. And that refined water was then nurtured into something more appealing by Boise-based Barbarian Brewing, Long Drop Cider, Mad Swede Brewing, and Lost Grove Brewing.

What We’ve Been Drinking Lately (Petaluma, CA) – Last night we tapped something from Lagunitas that’s always a good time. A 7% ABV fresh-hopped take on their popular Dogtown Pale Born Yesterday Pale Ale never disappoints.
