2023 is ON and American craft brewers are addressing the new year with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to have around.

Buzz-Free And Brilliant (Dublin) – Non-Alcoholic beers have come a long way’s since your uncle used to order an O’Doul’s. And now Guinness has introduced its own non-alcoholic take on its classic dry stout and it did not disappoint. Amazingly close stylistically to Guinness Draught in all aspects except buzz, Guinness 0 boasts its beautifully smooth taste, perfectly balanced flavor, unique dark color, topped off with an uber-creamy head.

To create Guinness 0 the St James’s Gate brewers, start by brewing Guinness exactly as they always have, using the same natural ingredients; water, barley, hops, and yeast; before gently removing the alcohol through a cold filtration method. The cold filtration process allows the alcohol to be filtered out without presenting thermal stress to the beer, protecting the integrity of its taste and character. The brewers then blend and balance the flavors to ensure the distinctive flavor profile and taste characteristics of Guinness.

“Guinness 0 may be the best N/A beer we’ve ever had.”

, Beer Alert: New Winter Porters And StoutsA Cold-Weather Classic Returns (Burlington, VT) – Switchback Brewing Co., home to Switchback Ale, Vermont’s #1 draught beer, is returning a cult fav in 16oz cans for the first time. This move marks the first of many Switchback Specials that will transition their way from 12oz bottles to cans throughout 2023.

Named after the brewery’s first employee, Dooley’s Belated Porter is a robust yet drinkable 5.7% ABV limited release that was made using a specially curated blend of roasted and caramelized malts giving it a rich malt signature with a pronounced earthiness derived from the non-traditional use of flaked barley. Its newly designed label deftly captures the dark, snowy nights of Vermont’s coldest season which adds to the beer’s vibe.

“With the addition of a new high-speed labeling system, the brewery can now apply custom labels onto cans in-house. “We love the accessibility that putting our beer into cans brings,” says Brewery Founder, Bill Cherry. “The new equipment has opened the door for us to reimagine some of our classics and to introduce new beers from our innovative Brewers and Employee Owners.”

Temptation Times Two (Dallas, TX) – Lakewood Brewing is renowned for its popular Seduction Series, a bestselling line of Temptress Imperial Milk Stout variations that the brewery continues to expand upon. We love them all, but these two are exceptional!

, Beer Alert: New Winter Porters And StoutsFrench Quarter Temptress is flavored with bourbon barrel-aged coffee from Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters and a touch of chicory. Sin Mint Temptress has mint and a touch of graham cracker, like a liquid thin mint Girl Scout cookie only better and buzzier.

“French Quarter and Sin Mint are cult favorites among Lakewood fans,” said Wim Bens, founder and president of Lakewood Brewing, “it was time to set her free statewide.”
