Beer Alert: New Terpene India Pale Ales and Summer Seasonals

May is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to have around.

Terpene-Infused (Oceanside, CA) -Belching Beaver Brewery is celebrating the company’s first new core beer that uses terpenes, the aromatic compounds naturally found in citrus fruits, pine trees, hops, and cannabis. Brewed with Simcoe, Mosaic, Strata, and Citra hops and terpenes that in this case were not derived from cannabis, Belching Beaver Tropical Terps IPA is a 6.6% ABV India Pale Ale that was first released at its 10th anniversary celebration in October 2022.

“We received so many compliments last year from the initial batch of Brewmaster Troy Smith’s new brand that we decided to make it a part of our core,” said Co-Founder and CEO Tom Vogel. “Troy and his team are always pushing the boundaries of beer. He not only designed the beer, but the label as well. This really is a game changer. I am sure we will see more terpene-focused beers throughout the country in the years ahead.”

Jungle Juice (San Diego, CA) – Modern Times Beer has returned a hoppy fav that’s been on the back burner since 2020. Crafted with a generous heap of Mosaic Incognito in the whirlpool, as well as a big addition of Mosaic and a touch of Nelson in the dry hop, Modern Times Star Jungle is a 5.5% ABV Hazy Pilsner with a punchy nose of berries, white grapes, and a hint of lychee.

Bright Is Right (Atlanta, GA) – Summer has arrived and Monday Night Brewing has new beer that’s perfect for this time of year. Brewed with classic German noble hops, fermented on toasted French oak before being dry hopped with Saphir and Hallertau Blanc, Monday Night Bright Idea is a 4.7% ABV contemporary Pilsner that’s both deceptively complex and ultra drinkable.
