|April 24th, 2018|

Spring calls to summer in our latest collection of new beers for 2018…And we’ve five exciting craft beer directions, both big and small, that you’ll want to chase down as we close in on May.

Mixed Media (Milton, DE) – Dogfish Head Brewing has a cool new release that was born at the intersection of hops, grapes, beer and wine. Brewed with a distinct Belgian yeast strain, Dogfish Head Mixed Media is a complex 7.5% ABV beer/wine hybrid with a spicy white wine body, and notes of sweet melon and white grape. With 51% of its fermentable coming from grain and 49% coming from grapes, this unique ale is quite literally the closest to a wine a beer can legally be!

Sweet Things Are Made Of This (Atlanta, GA) – SweetWater Brewing has a great new summer release that’s as sweet as it is tart. Tropically fruity, effervescent and sessionable, SweetWater Tropical Lover is a 4.5% ABV American-style Berliner Weisse tempered by mango, passion fruit and guava to a sweet and tart finish.

Another Yeti Sighting (Denver, CO) – Great Divide Brewing has a new addition to popular Yeti Imperial Stout variations and we can’t wait to chase this monster down. Big, bold, oaked and roasty, Vanilla Oak Aged Yeti is a sweet yet aggressive 9.5% ABV Imperial Stout that sounds like too much fun!

Double Barreled (Cooperstown, NY) – Brewery Ommegang is doubling down on bourbon, brandy and its Belgian instincts with its newest limited release.  Gracefully aged for six months in a mix of bourbon and brandy casks, Ommegang Double Barrel Dubbel is a 9.9% ABV Belgian-style Ale, that’s wood and spirts toned to perfection.

Adventurous (Redlands, CA) – In celebration of their approaching 10th anniversary, and in keeping with their spirit of shared adventures and authenticity , Hangar 24 Craft Brewing is introducing a new core beer. Making its debut at the Redlands Taproom on May 5th which also happens to be Cinco de Mayo, Hangar 24 Adventura is a 4.6% ABV Mexican-style Lager that was brewed with sea salt and fresh limes.
