February will soon be a memory and American craft brewers are addressing the fast-changing season with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to have around.

A Cosmic Mashup (Portland, OR) – Ecliptic Brewing and Bend, Oregon’s Boneyard Brewing have joined forces and released the brewery’s second “Cosmic Collaboration” beer of 2023. Brewed using a recipe that combines the instincts of  Ecliptic’s Starburst IPA with the essence or Boneyard’s RPM IPA, Ecliptic + Boneyard STARPM IPA is a 7.2% ABV India Pale Ale with a heady mix of Citra, Simcoe, Centennial, Azacca and Amarillo hops tethered to a classic Pacific Northwest malt profile.

“I used to work with Boneyard’s founder Tony Lawrence back at Deschutes” said Ecliptic’s Owner and Brewmaster, John Harris. “It has been fun being able to work together again to blend our recipes into a new creation and decide on a name, which is also a mashup.” Harris and Lawrence have a friendship that goes back many years. This beer honors John and Tony’s long-lasting student/teacher friendship.

Brewed In Tex Hex (Shiner, TX) – The Spoetzl Brewery, home to Shiner Beer was founded in Shiner, Texas (population 2,069), in 1909, by Czech and German immigrants brewing beer with old-world traditions and recipes for Central Texas. And they’ve a new addition to their TexHex IPA Series that’s currently available in 6-packs or as part of Shiners Deserts Dozen Variety Pack.

Brewed with cactus water and cytogenetically enhanced Idaho 7 hops, Shiner TexHex Wicked Haze is a MASSIVE 9.5% ABV Hazy Double India Pale Ale with bright pineapple, candied citrus and pine notes.

New Zealand Cat Nip (Burlington, VT) – Switchback Brewing Co., home to Vermont’s best-selling craft beer, Switchback Ale has a new addition to their DIPA Cat Series that we’re excited about. With a label that celebrates New Zealand’s classic rite of passage,  bungee jumping, as well as the county’s exotic Wai-iti hop, Switchback Wai-iti Cat is a 9.1% ABV India Pale Ale with a drop of tart sweetness that rebounds quick and fades away.
