Spring is ON and American craft brewers are addressing the season with a variety of ambitious new offerings worth your time…

Single Minded (Pensacola, FL) – Did you know that Pensacola is 9th in the country for breweries per capita? And in addition to its legendary white sand beaches the Florida panhandle city is now home to 15 breweries and growing.

And one our favorites, Perfect Plain Brewing, just sent us a single hopped gem that’s been a taproom favorite for a while now. Fueled entirely on Citra hops, Perfect Plain Holy Spin is an 7% ABV Single-Hop IPA that gets its name that magic third spin of a vinyl record where the music is said to sound perfect.

New Zealand Hopped (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker’s exploration of New Zealand hops continues with its latest Propagator Series single-hop release. Available exclusively in the latest “Crafted Thru Hops” IPA mixed pack (which also features three other serious IPAs), Firestone Walker Nectaron IPA is a 5.6% ABV Single-Hop Hazy India Pale Ale with tropical passion fruit and grapefruit notes and a lingering cannabis dankness.

, Beer Alert: New Imperial Stouts And Spring Pale AlesAn Eye Opener (Longmont, CO) – Oskar Blues’ Barrel-aged Series is back for 2021 with a special limited release supercharged by a hand-selected coffee blend featuring three distinct roasts from Denver’s Corvus Coffee Roasters. Infused with a custom coffee roast and premium vanilla, Oskar Blues BA21 Volume 5 is a massive 13.3% ABV bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Stout with an uber-balanced character and rich roasty notes.

“This is the most well-rounded barrel-aged beer we have ever produced,” said Sara Laurenti, Director of Brewery Operations for Oskar Blues Brewery. “The charred oak bourbon barrels we used naturally infused the imperial stout with vanilla and roasty flavors over a nine month rest time. We selected a coffee roast to amp those flavors up and vanilla beans to take it over the top.”
