February is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to have around.

On The Horizon (Hershey PA) – Tröegs Independent Brewing has a new spring addition to the brewery’s popular Hop Cycle Series, a line of seasonally rotating IPAs, which also includes Field Study IPA, Lucky Holler Hazy IPA and Blizzard of Hops Winter IPA. Crafted with a subtle blend of pale malts, wheat and oats and a smart medley of Citra, Mosaic and Sabro hops, Tröegs Hop Horizon is a 6.5% ABV India Pale with juicy waves of citrus, hints of bubblegum and a pop of tropical fruit. “

“When we were working on Hop Horizon, we really focused on how to nudge that hop combination in a new direction,” said brewmaster and co-founding brother John Trogner. “For Hop Horizon, we concentrated on the tropical side. Sabro brightens things up with a pop of tropical fruit. The aroma hits you as soon as you crack a can. It’s like smelling a hop field in full bloom.”

Two Hearts May Be Better Than One (Comstock, MI) – In late December Bell’s Brewery announced the expansion of its iconic Two Hearted IPA brand family with the release of a hazy take on their popular original. The first hazy IPA worthy of the Hearted label, Bell’s Hazy Hearted IPA is an uber-worthy smooth and pillowy 7.5% ABV India Pale Ale with tropical, fruit-forward flavors, a moderate bitterness, and a balanced, slightly sweet finish.

“Not just any hazy IPA could join the Hearted family,” said Andy Farrell, Brewmaster at Bell’s Brewery. “So we worked for years to craft a flavorful beer that brings out the fruity taste IPA drinkers love, while maintaining the quality and balance Two Hearted IPA fans have come to expect.”

Cherry Oh! (Portland, OR) – Cascade Brewing, a pioneer of the sour beer renaissance since 2006, has a new late-winter offering that’s a shot of spring. Featuring its classic Sour Rye Ale which aged in a foudre for 12 months with Oregon grown Montmorency sour cherries, Cherry Lime Casc-ade is a 5.9% ABV limited release which was finished with generous amounts of fresh citrus zest and a gentle touch of vanilla bean to complement the bright cherry flavor.
