Summer’s coming and American craft brewers are addressing the warming weather with an intriguing roster of new releases you’re gonna want to have around.
A Beer To Moon Over (Waitsfield, VT) – Lawson’s Finest Liquids has a very special limited release celebrating Vermont’s first total eclipse event since 1932. A solar eclipse is an incredibly rare event that occurs when the moon moves between the sun and the earth, totally obscuring the sun and Northern Vermont will be in the path of totality from about 2:14 pm to 4:37 pm on April 8.
Brewed to honor this spectacular occurrence, and only available where this year’s solar eclipse can be seen in its totality, Lawson’s Path of Totality is a robust 7.5% ABV Black IPA with zesty citrus and fresh pine flavors from Eclipse hops and pronounced malt characteristics.

German Light Bier (Denver, CO) – Prost Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery with several outlets in Colorado, renowned for honoring German brewing traditions, from sourcing high quality ingredients to brewing authentic, classic styles. Even their name has German influences with “prost” being German for “Cheers!” And their approach to the American-Style Light Beer is a fav around the American Craft Beer compound.
Uber-flavorful, yet light on the tongue, Prost Leichtbier is a 4.2% ABV German-style Light Lager with a bit of a Colorado touch. While traditionally brewed for physical laborers in the factories and fields of Germany, this modern day lager was clearly crafted to enjoy “several” with friends.
Deschutes Nails The Non-Alc Porter (Bend, OR) – Deschutes Brewery has taken a bold step into non-alcohol brewing and returned one of their classic beers as a buzz-free variation. Crafted entirely in-house utilizing Sustainable Beverage Technologies’ BrewVo technology in combination with Deschutes’ proprietary brewing methods, Black Butte Non-Alcoholic is a new take on the original robust porter, with all the authenticity of the original but none of the baggage.
