2023 is ON and American craft brewers are addressing the new year with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to have around.

Cosmic Doings (Portland, OR) – Ecliptic Brewing and Astoria’s Fort George Brewery have released the brewery’s first Cosmic Collaboration beer of 2023. Crafted with Carafa malt that helped give the beer is dark coloring and touch of roast, and abundantly dry-hopped with Nectaron, Citra, and Idaho 7 hops, Ecliptic + Fort George Black Cold IPA is a 7% ABV India Pale Ale with a citrusy and tropical fruit profile and a crisp, dry finish.

“This is the third collaboration we have done with Fort George”, says Ecliptic’s Owner and Brewmaster, John Harris. “At our first meeting, Fort George suggested we brew a big, Black IPA. After mulling around with some ideas, I came up with making it in the ‘cold IPA’ style.” John continues, “As far as we know, this is the first Black Cold IPA ever made. Black IPA was a popular style back around 2012-13. We think it is time to make a tasty beer with black color, a touch of roast, and a big bold citrus and tropical dry hop character.”

Uncommon Drinking (Cape May, NJ) –  Some of Cape May’s brewing team honed their skills on the West Coast, and the brewery is now paying homage to that legacy with its own take on a stylistic rarity, the California Common beer.

Crafted for those looking for a decidedly uncommon beer, Cape May Common is a 5% ABV California Common-Style Lager brewed with lager yeast that is fermented at warm ale temperatures to create a delicious blend of both lager and ale beer styles.

A Winter Eye-Opener  (Framingham, MA) – Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing, an environmentally-conscience, awarding-winning craft brewery that sees beer as a way of bringing people together, has a winter release that’s worth chasing down.

Crafted in partnership with Barrington Coffee Roasters, Exhibit ‘A’ Sunday Paper is a dangerously smooth 9.9% ABV Imperial Stout with rich roasted dark chocolate and coffee notes and a hint of dried black cherries.
