March is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with a full slate of new beers you’re gonna want to chase down.
Coasting (Croydon, PA) – Neshaminy Creek Brewing has partnered with Giant Foods on an exciting new beer that is exclusively available at its grocery stores as well as at the brewery’s taprooms in Croydon, New Hope and Dublin, Pennsylvania. Carefully crafted with a smart mix of Apollo, Chinook, Citra, Idaho 7, and HBC630 hops, Neshaminy Creek One Giant Coast is an enormous “east-meets-west” double dry-hopped IPA with hints of strawberry, banana, and grapefruit.
“I was really excited about the opportunity to create a new IPA with the folks at Giant, showcasing our best hops,” said Neshaminy Creek, head brewer Jason Ranck. “We wanted to make a double IPA, around 8.5%, which I believe is the best canvas for showing off hops.”
Anchors Away! (San Francisco, CA) – Anchor Brewing is celebrating its 126 years of brewing with a bold new addition to core portfolio, that embraces its advances in dry-hopping techniques as well as its West Coast heritage. Drawing on generations of craft brewing knowledge, Anchor West Coast IPA is a 7% ABV West Coast-Style India Pale Ale with bright citrus flavors, robust hops, and an uber-smooth mouthfeel.
“Our West Coast IPA is a celebration of our Bay Area roots, and Anchor’s long history with dry hopping,” says Assistant Brewmaster Dane Volek, who leads Anchor’s innovation team. “We’ve been experimenting with variations at Public Taps, our taproom in San Francisco, and perfecting our version of this respected style to land on this vibrant and balanced beer.”
Summer Timed (Kalamazoo, MI) – Bell’s has returned a summertime classic, its second most popular beer that’s right behind Two Hearted IPA in sales. Bell’s Oberon is a 5.8% ABV Wheat Ale that is fermented with Bell’s signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas. The addition of wheat malt lends a smooth mouthfeel, making it a perfect warm weather beer.
