LA Gets Extreme (Los Angeles, CA) – Dogfish Head’s Sam Calagione and the Beer Advocate bros are bringing their boundary-pushing beer celebration to California this weekend when the Extreme Beer Fest Los Angeles touches down in La-La-Land this Saturday December 9th …and unbelievably there’s still some tickets available. Expect more than 200 uber-intense beers from more than 60 brewing extremists who will be pushing the boundaries of brewing to breathtaking levels that will leave you sated and pleasured at the same time.
On The Big Screen – After weeks of bullshit movies opening, this weekend has TWO new movies that might be worth your time. The Disaster Artist stars James Franco along with his brother Dave, as two film lovers who meet in an acting class and travel to Hollywood to make their dreams come true. And Guillermo del Toro’s supernatural romance, The Shape of Water also debuts this weekend and it’s been getting all kinds of great reviews.
A Beer Festival That You May Need To Czech Out (St. Louis, MO) – The Great St. Louis Czech Beer Festival is returning to the “Gateway City” this Saturday, December 9th and you might want to Czech it out. The American Czech Educational Center in South St. Louis is once again hosting this annual celebration of pilsners, which has been expanded this year to include what they refer to as “quirky ales of America,” (read craft).
